North Central Iowa Arc
The Camp/Retreat for adults is held yearly.
To meet the needs of more fragile individuals who want to come to camp, but are not able to sleep away from their residences, we hold a day camp.
Those campers come after breakfast, spend the day with us and return home after dinner each night.
Many of our older campers have no immediate family nearby.
The camp meets a need for those individuals, by providing them with a place for a vacation and gives them something to talk about and look forward to each year.
Campers participate in all the activities persons who do not have disabilities participate in....swimming, hiking, crafts, games, and socialization...but at their own ability levels.
In 1999, camp was offered to 54 overnight campers ranging in age from 17 to 78 years old.
2005 Camp had 68 campers! 2010 had 50 campers for overnight camp ranging in age from 20-45.
